Use PTFE Tape On Plastic Threads

Wrap the end of the Ptfe tape around the internal thread interface, the winding direction should be consistent with the direction of rotation of the two interfaces.

 

To use PTFE tape on plastic threads, follow these steps:
1. Clean the threads – Make sure the threads on both the male and female ends of the fitting are clean and free of debris. A dirty or greasy surface can prevent the tape from adhering properly.
