Raw material belt (PTFE raw material belt) can replace the seal ring in emergency maintenance of construction machinery. The following emergency treatments are carried out with raw meal belt instead of sealing ring, with obvious effects:
1. The original seal ring was leaked due to the poor elasticity of the hardened surface, but the seal ring was not damaged. Before taking out the seal ring, carefully observe the size and height of the gap between the seal ring and the ring groove, then pick out the seal ring with a needle, and wind the seal ring with a raw tape. During the winding process, the raw material belt shall be unfolded and leveled as much as possible, and kept as uniform as possible. Its thickness shall be based on the gap and height between the seal ring and the ring groove, and the wrapped seal ring shall be pressed into the ring groove gently by hand.
If there is no gap between the seal ring and the ring groove, the needle can be used to pick out the seal ring, and then the raw material belt shall be disassembled into long strips according to the width of the ring groove. The raw material belt shall be evenly spread at the bottom of the groove and compacted with a thickness of 0.25~0.35 mm, and then the seal ring shall be put into the groove.
2. If the thick seal ring has been broken, find a seal ring close to it and use the above methods to operate according to the actual situation. The two methods can also be used at the same time to restore its sealing performance.
3. If the seal ring is damaged or brittle due to aging, find the seal ring with the same section diameter of the rubber ring, perform inclined shearing according to the size, and perform necessary bonding and surface winding with raw tape to restore the seal.
