High Quality PTFE Tape
Prevent Leakage - High quality ptfe tape is made of PTFE material, has a sealing function to prevent the leakage, can be used to connect threaded pipes, good solution for enhancing the tightness of pipes.
Good Quality - High quality ptfe tape is made of PTFE with good density ptfe tape will not harden or crack, high-temperature resistance.
Widely Apply - High quality ptfe tape is designed for home and threaded pipe applications, thread sealant tape is suitable for most kinds of soft water pipes, including washing machine pipes, faucets, shower nozzles, etc.
Easy to Use - High quality ptfe tape is anti-stick and easy to remove no matter how long it takes, tape around the threaded male end and screw it in of creating airtight seals between threaded pipes and fittings
Description
High Temperature PTFE Tape - Engineered for Thread Sealing in Heat-Intensive Environments
When pipe systems operate at elevated temperatures, standard thread seal tapes can soften, degrade, or lose their sealing grip over time. Our High Quality PTFE Tape is specifically formulated for threaded pipe connections that demand reliable performance under sustained thermal stress. Made from 100% virgin polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), it maintains its sealing integrity across a temperature range of -190°C to +260°C, making it suitable for hot water lines, steam systems, HVAC equipment, and industrial piping where heat exposure is a constant factor.
Why This Tape Performs Under Heat
It's 0.2mm thickness and 0.4g/cm³ density provide a denser, more substantial seal than standard lightweight PTFE tapes (typically 0.075mm / 0.35g/cm³). This added material volume translates to better gap-filling capability on rough or worn threads, and greater resistance to thermal cycling - the repeated expansion and contraction that gradually loosens thinner tapes. At 19mm (3/4") width, it covers more thread surface per wrap, reducing the number of wraps needed for a secure seal.
Pressure and Chemical Resistance
Rated to 3,000 PSI, this tape handles both residential and light industrial pressure systems. PTFE's inherent chemical inertness means the tape will not react with hot water, steam condensate, mild acids, or alkaline solutions commonly found in heating and cooling systems. It will not harden, crack, or become brittle even after years of thermal exposure - a critical advantage over pipe joint compounds that dry out and fail.
Key Applications
Hot water supply lines - residential and commercial plumbing
Steam pipe fittings - low-pressure steam heating systems
HVAC refrigerant line connections - threaded fittings on chillers and condensers
Boiler feed and discharge piping - threaded connections near heat sources
Industrial process piping - chemical and food processing lines with thermal demands
Solar thermal system connections - hot fluid circulation lines
Color Coding & Identification
It is white, consistent with the PTFE industry color convention for general-purpose and standard-density thread seal tape. Unlike colored tapes (yellow for gas, pink for high-density water, green for oxygen), white tape is the versatile choice suitable for most hot and cold water applications.
Certifications
Manufactured in our ISO 9001 certified facility. Products carry UL, WRAS, CE, RoHS, and ACS certifications, ensuring compliance with international plumbing and safety standards for potable water and thermal system applications.

- FAQS:
Q: Can this PTFE tape be used on hot water pipes?
A: Yes. It is rated for continuous use from -190°C to +260°C, which covers all standard hot water plumbing applications including residential hot water supply lines, boiler connections, and commercial hot water recirculation systems.
Q: What makes this tape suitable for high-temperature applications?
A: Three factors: the 0.2mm thickness provides more material volume for gap-filling under thermal cycling; the 0.4g/cm³ density offers better structural integrity than standard 0.3g/cm³ tapes; and 100% virgin PTFE will not soften, harden, or crack within its rated temperature range.
Q: How does this tape compare to the standard white PTFE tape?
A: It is nearly 3 times thicker (0.2mm vs 0.075mm) and 33% denser (0.4g/cm³ vs 0.3g/cm³) than standard white PTFE tape. The added thickness and density make it better suited for applications with thermal cycling and higher pressure demands, while standard tape is adequate for basic cold-water connections.
Q: How many wraps should I apply for high-temperature pipe connections?
A: Due to the 0.2mm thickness, 2 to 3 full wraps around the male threads are sufficient. For high-pressure or high-temperature applications, 3 wraps are recommended. Always wrap in the direction of thread tightening to prevent unraveling.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity and delivery time?
A: The MOQ is 20,000 pieces per item. Standard delivery time is 30-40 days after receiving prepayment. We accept OEM orders and can print your logo if the MOQ is met.
