What are the precautions for the storage and maintenance of Teflon tape?

Teflon tape has a smooth surface, high insulation, high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and good stickiness resistance. It is widely used in industries such as thermoplastics, packaging, and electronic and electrical industries. However, it has been used in practice. These situations often occur in the process.

Teflon tape cannot be used after being purchased and stored for several months. This problem still exists in storage and maintenance.

The stored Teflon tape should be packed in rolls and then sealed with plastic film. The sealing is to avoid sunlight and rain. It can also prevent contact with chemical corrosive solvents, keep the warehouse dry and prevent fire. When storing, put the same thickness and type together. Different thicknesses and types should be stored separately, and the storage time should be indicated with labels. If there is any remaining tape, not only plastic film should be used. When packaging, the use time and storage time should be used. When using the tape, it must be selected according to the storage time. During the storage of the tape, the package should be opened regularly, the color and viscosity of the tape should be checked, and questions should be followed up in time.

Application of Teflon tape in plastic industry:

Teflon tape is a high temperature resistant tape made of glass fiber, coated with polyvinyl fluoride emulsion, dried to make polyvinyl fluoride glass fiber cloth and then made of silicone.

1. Easy to demould, reducing labor intensity;

2. Ensure complete demoulding, greatly reducing scrap rate;

3. The product surface gloss is uniform, and the product grade is greatly improved;

4. Teflon coating has good adhesion, is not easy to fall off, and is durable;

5. No release agent is used, which reduces costs and environmental pollution, and prevents rubber vulcanization and sticking.

6. The rubber particles stick to the mold, and there is no need to stop the machine for cleaning, which greatly improves production efficiency and reduces mold loss and energy consumption.
