Customer: Do you have to remove old Teflon tape?

Foreverseal: Teflon tape is considered a single use item, and should usually last many years. However If you unthread the fitting for any reason, you will need to remove the used tape and reapply a new wrapping.

 

Customer: Is Teflon tape resistant to gas?

Foreverseal: Teflon tape is essentially 100% teflon, a fluorocarbon, that is one of the most chemical resistant materials on earth. Gasoline will not effect teflon in any way.

Foreverseal: When stored in normal warehouse conditions, all PTFE and Rulon materials have an unlimited shelf life.
