Manufactured at our Hangzhou facility using 100% unsintered virgin PTFE resin, our water pipe sealing tape is engineered for OEM distributors and plumbing contractors. Unlike low-density market alternatives, our 0.35 g/cm³ high-density formulation ensures zero thread galling and zero elongation snapping during manual or automated wrapping.

 

This tape is specifically sized for standard household water pipe threads. The 12mm (1/2") width fits most common fittings including washing machine connections, faucet assemblies, showerhead adapters, and angle stop valves. At 0.1mm thickness with a density of 0.35 g/cm³, it provides enough material for 2-3 full wraps on typical 1/2" NPT threads - the industry-standard coverage for reliable sealing.

Engineering & Installation Recommendations:

Thread Direction: Always wrap clockwise following the male thread trajectory.

Wrap Count: Apply 3 to 5 full wraps for 1/2" to 3/4" NPT brass/copper pipes. For steel threads, 5 to 7 wraps are recommended due to deeper thread pitch.

Avoid Over-wrapping: Excess tape can cause thread misalignments or split thin-walled plastic female fittings.
