Adhesive tape is composed of base material and adhesive, which connects two or more unconnected objects together by bonding. Its surface is coated with a layer of adhesive. Early adhesives came from animals and plants, and rubber was the main component of adhesives; now various polymers are widely used.
Adhesives can stick to things because of the formation of bonds between their own molecules and the molecules of the objects to be connected, and this bond can firmly bind the molecules together.
Adhesive tape is used very frequently in our lives, it can be seen everywhere, and there are many types. So what should be paid attention to when using adhesive tape?
1. Before use, the surface of the adherend should be cleaned, and impurities such as oil, water, and dust should be fully removed, so as to ensure its adhesive force.
2. Apply a certain amount of pressure after bonding the tape, so that the tape can give full play to its viscosity and keep sticking for a long time.
3. When we paste the tape, the temperature of the bonding environment is controlled at room temperature, and it is very important to ensure the temperature.
4. Be careful not to touch the water source when using tape to stick items. Once water sticks, the stickiness of the tape will be destroyed.
5. Avoid repeated pasting (otherwise the adhesive surface of the tape will be damaged), after pasting, let it stand for a while;
6. Paste directly on the human body, concave-convex and rough surfaces;
7. When storing the tape, avoid direct sunlight and heat sources, and store it in a cool place.
