Ptfe pipe thread tape are made of PTFE which has a good sealing capability and can resistant corrosion. Ptfe pipe thread tape also has a good performance towards moisture and acids, they will not crack easily. Each roll of ptfe pipe thread tape has a plastic cover which can protect the tape from dust, when you finished your work, just place them back to the plastic cover, it is a better way to collect them compared to normal ptfe pipe thread tape without plastic cover.

What is the maximum pipe size you can use thread tape on?

Foreverseal: There are no limitations on the diameter of the pipe. You should always wrap the tape enough times around the male threads in order to fill the spigot (female threads). Any pipe sizes over 1¼" with pressure and fluids moving through it should have the male threads wrapped with tape and then the approved pipe joint compound spread over the tape.
