A "Thread Sealing String" is a thin, string-like material, typically made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), used to seal threaded connections on pipes and fittings, essentially functioning like a thread seal tape but in a string form, providing a tight seal against leaks by wrapping it around the threads before assembly; it's often considered a more versatile option for various thread sizes and can be used on both metal and plastic pipes.

Usage:

1. Thread must be cleaned by brush , then wind onto the thread following the direct of the thread

2. Turns: Refer to the form , if it's used to the plastic pipe ,30% of the turns added will be recommended regardless the space of the thread Cut the string direct by the edge of the packing

3. It's very useful when adjust loosen or tighten disassemble and wind up

How to remove Thread Sealing String?

If the threaded connection is undone, new thread sealant material should be used meaning the existing thread sealant needs to be removed. A solvent-based media can be applied to it and it will dissolve the sealant material. These steps can be followed:

Unscrew the threads to disconnect the parts.

Spray the solvent over the thread or submerge the parts in it.

Wipe the threads clean once the sealant has dissolved.

Rinse with water and let dry.
