Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) raw material belt is a common sealing belt at present. In fact, there are many classifications. At present, ordinary white PTFE belts are used in HVAC and water supply and drainage, and there are also special PTFE belts for natural gas pipelines. In fact, the main raw materials are PTFE, but some processes are different.
Polytetrafluoroethylene is a polymer of tetrafluoroethylene. The breaking of carbon carbon bond and carbon fluorine bond in perfluorocarbon requires 346.94 kJ/mol and 484.88 kJ/mol of energy respectively, but only 171.38 kJ of energy is required for the depolymerization of polytetrafluoroethylene to produce 1mol of tetrafluoroethylene. Therefore, during pyrolysis at high temperature, polytetrafluoroethylene is mainly depolymerized into tetrafluoroethylene.
The weight loss rate (%) of PTFE at 260, 370 and 420 ℃ is 1 per hour respectively × 10-4、4 × 10-3 and 9 × 10-2。 It can be seen that PTFE can be used for a long time at 260 ℃. Due to the highly toxic by-products fluorophosgene and perfluoroisobutylene produced during high-temperature cracking, special attention should be paid to safety protection and prevent polytetrafluoroethylene from contacting open fire.
Raw material belt manufacturer shall do a good job in fire prevention, ensure safety in production, take protective measures and avoid safety accidents.
